This project began as a search for identity: a question of what kind of tile Blended truly wanted to create. Driven by creativity and an artistic mindset, it became an open exploration of form, color, and meaning.

We experimented with second-hand tiles, re-firing and glazing them with waste-based materials. This hands-on approach allowed complete freedom, designing without restraint or guilt, like painting on a blank canvas. Each step revealed something new about what makes a tile feel alive, expressive, and true to Blended’s values.

The project ultimately led back to the core idea: not to reshape what already exists, but to create something original from the ground up. From this exploration, the Fundamentals Series was born: the foundation of Blended’s identity.
