Heavy Waste

Heavy Waste

With Heavy Waste, we explored both the physical and conceptual weight of discarded materials. The project began as a study of how waste could become something solid, valuable, and enduring without losing its raw identity.

We created a stool weighing around 30 kilograms, made entirely from locally sourced waste such as stone, glass, metal, ceramics, and concrete. Instead of concealing its origin, the piece exposes every fragment, embracing imperfection, density, and texture as essential parts of its beauty.

Designed as a test object, Heavy Waste examines how waste behaves when used in mass. It redefines the relationship between weight and worth, proving that heaviness can be a form of honesty and a lasting tribute to material, origin, and permanence. Available upon request.
