Marriott Hotel
Commissioned by D/DOCK Architects, this tableau was created as part of the art selection for the renovation of the ground floor of the Amsterdam Marriott Hotel. The project marked the 50th anniversary of Europe’s first Marriott and transformed the space into a sequence of connected environments.
The redesign follows the Great Room concept, in which each area has its own atmosphere while remaining part of one continuous story. Inspired by Amsterdam’s Brutalist architecture, layered urban landscape, and open spirit, the interior combines tactile materials, custom furniture, and artworks by over ten local artists rooted in Dutch culture.
Our contribution reflects that same philosophy. Through materiality and craftsmanship, the tableau embodies honesty, texture, and a strong connection to place, offering a subtle yet enduring expression of the hotel’s renewed identity.
