WasteBasedGlazed

WasteBasedGlazed

For the development of WasteBased Glazings we joined forces with designer Daria Biryukova of Studio Mixtura to explore how industrial waste streams could become a source for new design materials. Together, we developed a collection that redefines what waste can be.

Throughout the process, we experimented with the composition and behavior of residual materials, turning by-products into usable glazings for the WasteBasedSlips. Each test revealed new tones and textures, proving that industrial leftovers can yield beauty and variety without relying on virgin resources.

The resulting palette, available through FRONT Materials was first used in the interior project Twentyten in Amsterdam, a creative collective for food photography, film, and styling. The application highlights the subtle richness that emerges when waste becomes the foundation for creation.
